Peter Andre has been a Lion for nearly 50 years. He is credited for introducing the use of photorefractors as a Lion’s project in the State of Wisconsin. Peter is a former Lions District Governor and established Lions EYES. He has made it his mission to educate all about the benefits of detecting eye challenges in children using a photorefractor.

Peter Denil joined the Lions Club more than 10 years ago after a successful business career. He turned his attention to the Lions organization with a commitment to helping the youth of his community. New technologies in Vision screening captured his attention and he assisted the Lions District Governor in introducing photorefractors for vision screening to Lions in Northeast Wisconsin. Shortly after implementing the new technology, he screened his grandchildren and found his grandson with an undiagnosed vision issue which if not corrected could have led to blindness in one eye. This renewed his commitment, and he took up the challenge to try and make sure all school aged children have their vision checked annually.

Caitlyn Belson holds a degree in social media marketing from University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. She is the team’s social media manager.
